Overview of trianing
This course highlights the importance of men in the fostering role. The training draws on lots of different research to consider the perspectives of male foster carers, including how they may feel positioned within caring relationships with regards to their roles and the expectations which are placed upon them.
Through the lens of a child, participants are encouraged to reflect on how early experiences influence the way children may see men, and how these insights can inform a more thoughtful approach to fostering. The course also addresses important issues such as safety and support for men in fostering.
