Aims and objectives
  • To provide empowering strategies which can help to regulate children in addition to adults during heightened moments.

  • To help participants gain insight into their "triggers" in addition to their children's.

  • To provide a safe environment for parents and carers to express and reflect on tricky moments with their children, and think about these instances through a therapeutic lens.

Overview of trianing

Children’s behaviour can be highly triggering and can sometimes lead adults to respond in ways that surprise them. This course explores how children can affect adult emotions and behaviour, and how parents and carers can remain calm, think clearly, and respond thoughtfully rather than react in heightened moments.
