The intervention was very helpful as it opened my eyes to the reasons behind some of the presentation of the child at home."

What Is This Therapy?

This intervention is designed for families who are imminent risk of breakdown. A therapist works directly with the family on a bi-weekly basis; moving between direct sessions with children and adults. Alongside this, practitioners will work closely with school and professionals, to maximise stability so a longer-term piece of work can successfully be implemented.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this for?

This intervention for children/young people (age 4 onwards)

How many therapy sessions do we need to attend?

We generally provide 20 therapy sessions through the ASGSF once the child has moved to their new household.

Where is the service available?

We operate from South-East London, in a place called Sidcup. We use a therapy room which is specifically designed for the work we undertake and for children's with sensory needs.

How can I get started?

The first step is to simply reach out to us via email of by phone. Once we have your details we can provide you with all the necessary information needed to either apply for funding via the ASGSF or the local authority.

Where, how long for and what frequency are the sessions?

This intervention can be completed online or in person. Sometimes, we take a hybrid approach, with some sessions being completed online and others physically from our therapy room.

Each therapy session is one hour long and we meet on a weekly basis.

What does a typical intervention look like?

We work flexibly around whatever the salient issue is, which is contributing to the break-down. However, our primary focus is to ensure that all parties feel heard, supported, held and helped during this highly challenging time.
