Overview of trianing
When allegations are made against adults, it can feel like you are guilty before being proven innocent. It is a really hard experience for carers and professionals alike. In this training, we take time to consider people's experience of allegations and to show statistics to support how often this happens, specifically, in the field of fostering. We explore procedures around allegations, debunk myths and explore what support carers can expect during this tricky time. We talk about practices which can limit the chance of a malicious allegations being esculated by adopting simple safe care stratagies.
Finally, we also talk about what you do if someone makes a disclosure to you about a colleague or about a historic figure in their lives.
